Sitgestiu program features 100 activities starred by music and guided tours

During summer, Museums of Sitges are packed with an schedule including several musical proposals, tours around our heritage and some new format activities. Opera, classical music and jazz are the main musical proposals, while the nocturnal tours  around Cau Ferrat and Maricel Museum, guided tours around Maricel Palace and three exhibitions currently open make up the program to bring heritage to visitors. Sitgestiu becomes complete with six children's workshops also related to heritage proposals related to Sitges on a joint initiative of the Department of Culture of the City and Museums of Sitges.
The recovery of classical music concerts at Racó de la Calma and the night visits to the Cau Ferrat and Maricel Museum -known as Blue Nights at Museums, are the two most relevant novelties in the Sitgestiu program, which this year changes its common name (Cultural) by Musical.
The concerts aims to strengthen Racó de la Calma trying to booster Sitges's cultural offer during the summer, both for the local public, visitors and tourists offering a joint program of chamber music and song, complemented with other proposals, such as brand new Festival de Jardins Terramar promoted by the Culture Department. The six concerts belonging the Classic Music series at Racó de la Calma, will recover the spirit of the Summer Concert Series, which was organized decades ago by Juventuts Musicals, surviving now days thanks to Mirabent and Magrans Concet that this year recovered their presence.
For its part, Blue Summer Nights are with us every Wednesday after the successful pilot tests organized during the last two editions of the International Museum Day and the Museum del Penedès Nighr last year. Every Wednesday in July and August, between 10 pm and midnight, the museum offers guided tours around the halls.
Meanwhile, Sitgestiu includes other fixed shows in their programming, such as the opera recitals (with two formats: the Lookout and Pocket at the  majestic Golden Hall), jazz, guided tours in three languages around Maricel Palace and children's workshops.

6 Thursday, at 20 am, the program presents a recital at Racó de la Calma that will include a tasting of different musical summer proposals. Free entrance.
